世界柔道でのインタビューが話題になっている松山三四六氏（49歳）。現在、柔道家・タレント・ラジオパーソナリティ・歌手・長野大学福祉学部客員教授と、様々な分野で大活躍中だ。今年の7月に、松山氏が「1人でも多くの日本人に、柔道の素晴らしさを伝えたい」という想いから誕生した、書籍『世界の中で、いちばん柔道を知らない日本人へ(ベースボールマガジン社)』。今回は、松山氏に、壮絶な柔道人生について話していただいた。

２０１９年１月、一人の男によって、日本バスケットボール界に１つの金字塔が打ち立てられた。レバンガ北海道に所属する折茂武彦が、国内トップリーグで通算１万得点を達成したのだ。 日本バスケットボール界が誇る鉄人は、現役最年長選手でありながら、所属するレバンガ北海道の代表取締役社長を務めるという、超異色のアスリートでもある。これまでの２６年間、日本のトップリーグで活躍してきた折茂だが、常に順風満帆だったわけではない。年齢による衰えを受け入れ、時代の流れによる変化を受け入れながら、２６年という長いキャリアを歩んできた。前編では、折茂がプロ選手になるまでを振り返ったが、後編では、選手でありながら経営者となった経緯や、オリンピックのこと、これからの現役生活のことを伺った。

昨年に引き続き今年も「JリーグデザインコラボTシャツ」が8月9日より発売された。今年のコラボはJ1とJ2合わせて39クラブとなり、昨年より6クラブ増えた。ファッションからJリーグや地域を盛り上げようという素晴らしい企画だ。今年のコラボ企画のコンセプトなどを聞かせてもらった。

La Liga (Spanish professional soccer league) held the “Andres Iniesta La Liga Official Icon Inauguration” at the Kanda Myojin Hall on July 22. Iniosta's allied friend Etoo was added, and Japanese football legends Kitazawa Go, Sawaho Nozomi, and the entertainment world gathered gorgeous members such as Naoto Intiraimi.

アスリートによる社会貢献活動プロジェクト「日本財団HEROs」は、健常者アスリートがパラリンピアンと一緒にパラスポーツを体験するイベント「HEROs PARA-SPORTS DAY 2019」を7月8日、日本財団パラアリーナで開催した。同イベントには、サッカー元日本代表の中田英寿さん、元なでしこジャパンの近賀ゆかり選手、元女子バレーボール代表の大林素子さんらが参加。パラリンピック正式種目のシッティングバレー（座った姿勢で行うバレーボール）や、ゴールボール（アイマスクを着用し、鈴入りボールを投げ合う競技）など計4種目を行い、慣れない動きに苦戦しながらもパラ競技を楽しんだ。
