一方、パラメヒコは基本的に国内限定モデルのため、神や国外トップレベルのプーマスパイクユーザーは、依然としてドイツが統一される頃まで一貫として西ドイツ製を履いていました（図7右）。しかし、統一後はデザインが大幅に変わってしまいました。

日本ではパラメヒコが憧れのスパイクで、それを履いてプレーする喜びを感じてきた方々はとても多いと思います。
しかし、我々世代ですと、手の届かなかった西ドイツ製モデルをかなり身近にしてくれたのがパラメヒコであり、デビュー当時は何となく西ドイツ製の「類似品」的な見方をしていた気もしますが、まさかこんなに長い間愛され、本家をも凌ぐ名品スパイクになるとは予想もしませんでした。
現在も昔の西ドイツ製プーマスパイクの面影を残す製品は世界中でパラメヒコしかなく、今となっては敬意を表するばかりで、天然皮革素材確保の困難さが増す昨今ですが、できればなくならないでほしいと切に願います。
ただ、このコーナーではパラメヒコをリスペクトはしつつも、その祖先（見本）とも言える西ドイツ製プーマスパイクはこれからも紹介していきます（アディダスもあります。もちろんコパムンも細かく紹介する予定です）。 今後ともよろしくお願いいたします。
