Historical spikes loved by heroes VOL.52 "High school championship in the latter half of the Showa period (Part 2)"

Color spikes, which were popular among top-level players in Showa high school soccer, are currently hard to find. It is said that the popular spikes of that time will be reprinted this time, so I would like to look back on the introduction and the spikes that played an active part in the only glamorous stage of the soccer winter era.

The high school soccer tournament, which is a winter tradition, was managed while various sporting events were canceled due to the corona disaster. I feel very sorry for the players of the prefecture representatives who would normally play with the cheers of many spectators. However, considering that the Koshien tournament for high school baseball could not be officially held in spring or summer, having a national stage may have been a relief at least.

Now,HereOrHereBut I introduced the spikes of high school soccer in the latter half of the Showa period.
At that time, there were no soccer professionals, and the winter high school championship was the most popular soccer event in the country.

The image at the beginning shows that Teikyo High School Eleven, who won the 1980 tournament, is surrounded by (?) Boy fans who are rushing from a packed national stand (?)Taken by Masahide Tomikoshi)。
Many Teikyo players wear Yasuda spikes in the same color scheme as their uniforms (yellow) and pants (blue).Thumb efbc92Figure 1Showa 58Teikyo High School Eleven who won the annual tournament

Figure 1 shows the players of Teikyo High School who defeated Shimizu Higashi High School, who aimed to win the championship in a row in the 1983 tournament final, which was packed with bills. Even in this tournament, many players wore blue and yellow line Yasuda spikes, and I think that some of Teikyo Eleven wore them until the time when it changed to Heisei.

Yasuda sold blue and yellow spikes as commercial products in the model shown in Fig. 2, and it seems that many color spikes were made to order from famous soccer equipment stores.

Color spikes are purveyors to strong schools, and for general players of weak teams like me, I was embarrassed and didn't feel like wearing them.

After the opening of the J-League, Yasuda's spike was also used by Brazil national team Dunga. It also seems to have been manufacturing color spikes (enamel coated) in the 90's.

However, it went out of business in 2002, and no player has played with Yasuda's spikes for a while.
It was revived by crowdfunding in 2018 and is nowProfessional playerI am very pleased that I have gradually started to use it.

By the way, I can't see the spikes of the two Teikyo High School players who are happy to hug each other in the opening photo, but as shown in Fig. 4, the former famous soccer equipment store Minami Sports originalPeradaI was wearing.

It features a unique line with a star shape (bomb mark?), And I think it was popular among students.

There must have been quite a few models in the Perada series, but it was a rare item that could only be obtained by mail order in rural areas because it could not be purchased at general sports stores.

Of course, it's hard to find now, but I was lucky enough to get the models in Figures 5 and 6.

Now trying to revive Perada againCrowdfundingIs being done (Fig. 7). The target amount has already been achieved and I am looking forward to getting a reprint.

Would you like to support the old Perada fans?

By the way, it was the referee's feet that I was personally interested in at the 99th tournament where long throws became a hot topic.

It seems that the referees of this tournament, which is sponsored by PUMA, have been lined up with PUMA products from top to bottom. And many of the spikes were the masterpiece Paramehiko (Fig. 8).

Here
But as I wrote, paramehiko was discontinued at the end of 2019.

There were some new KINGs at the 98th tournament last year, but there were still many who were wearing Paramehiko, but most of them were Adidas spikes this year (Fig. 9).

At last, I don't have a chance to see Paramehiko ...
It's still good for retro spike fans to wear Copamundial (Copamun) instead of Paramehiko, but it's probably the only Copamun user who is an active player.MaedaWill be retired.

Although I feel lonely, despite the passage of time, I just pay tribute to the many achievements I have made in Copamun.

I hope you will continue to use Copamun even if you become a leader.

PostscriptIt's not about soccer spikes, but I used to talk about it from time to time in this column.Mizuno's glovesabout,This magazineI wrote an article in.
