To the top of freestyle football. YO, ibuki and Kazane talk about their individuality.
Air Technician's YO, ibuki, and Kazane participate in SuperBall, the world's highest freestyle football battle that will be held from August 22nd. Although they are close to each other in age and have a relationship of accepting each other, they seem to have different approaches to the competition. In the second installment, we will talk about how you have been facing and working on freestyle football for this year's SuperBall, and the difference with the world you feel.

-Do you think about the composition of the technique and make adjustments for it when you face the tournament?
Kazan: After I started to be aware of the competition, I started to do other genres as well as air move. I think YO thinks most about the composition of that area.
ME: I certainly decided what to do at the tournament until last year. At the tournament, I basically perform three times, but I had to decide what to do at each time to some extent.
But this year, I'm starting to feel that it's more comfortable to do it with feeling, so I'm doing so. From that point on, I didn't do much adjustment in practice. I just feel like I'm practicing to improve myself.
I try to perform at the competition according to the music, the place, the atmosphere, and the mood that I played at that time. I've been talking about air moves since a while ago, but I couldn't do that at all!
ME
Kazan: By the way, I forgot to talk about that (laugh) YO was a bit special among the good guys that Airmove gathered. YO: Freestyle football has other genres such as upper (standing) and sitting (seated), but I didn't do only air moves at the time. Now I can do all three with a good balance.
ibuki:I think that only YO can do all the genres at such a high level now.
Kazan
Kazan: There is no other person in Japan who can do this level. We can do it a little bit disgusting. If you are conscious of the tournament, I think it is really better to be able to do all genres like YO, but there are many people who want to play freestyle football freely, so it is quite hard to put a lot of effort into this area. I don't think there are people.
I couldn't really do the air move when I first met it, but when I had him show me a little later, I mastered a high skill with about two steps, and I remember having a great talent.
ibuki: In my case, I started practicing from the challenges I felt at the previous world tournament, and after that I worked on my own style.
Even among the freestylers, I am a type with a bit of habit, and since everything I do is based on my own system, I've been thinking about various ways and ways to practice.
But when it came to the tournament, I had only made some preparations to aim it firmly. Therefore, this time we are trying to put together a performance for the competition like never before.
I usually try to widen my possibilities in practice, and from a month before the competition, I chose to keep only what I needed from there, cutting down on waste. To do that, I wrote down notes and filmed them back in.
In this World Tournament, there is a 30-second performance for 3 turns, so let's actually try it and check the movements of your body and ball during that time, and how it was like as a battle. In addition, I even thought if the people I was watching would think it was good. It's not just about winning, but also because I want to show performances to the audience.
ibuki
Kazan: I've always been thinking about performing without thinking. I was wondering if my thoughts would change as I grew up, but in the end it didn't really change and I just continued to have fun.
Some people give me some advice, but I still want to listen to the underlying music and have fun kicking. In fact, that's how I got results at the tournament. Also
Of course, I can't say that I'm so great because I'm not officially the best in Japan or the world yet, but I'm continuing this style because it is the most fun.
-To challenge Superball,Where do you feel the difference from the best in the world?
Kazan: Is it simply the number of tricks and mistakes? That is the evaluation standard at the competition. Those who have learned difficult techniques that anyone can see, sharpen those things even more like a demon, and incorporate them into the performance can always dig into the higher ranks at the competition.
If we had that skill, we would be able to easily repeat what we would like to use in these situations.
ME: It's strong that you can always perform difficult tricks without making mistakes.
Kazan: There are also mental differences. After all, I think that if you can concentrate on playing freestyle football, you can get results.
ibuki: On the other hand, I think that recent competitions are in an era in which evaluation is focused on skills.
Kazan: Japan hasn't put too much emphasis on skills so far, and rather leans towards those who enjoy themselves freely, so when it comes to battles at competitions, the world still has a strong impression. By the way, when it comes to unexpected places, Poland is a strong player in freestyle football.
ibuki: Of course Brazil is also strong, but there are many people who are good in Poland as a whole. Many Polish people are the best in the world.
-Will the score be higher if you do a technique that no one has done?
Kazan: Not necessarily so. Let's say there was no inside lifting in this world. Even if you do it for the first time, it is simply new and the difficulty of the technique is too easy to be evaluated.
ibuki: Even if a new technique comes out, it's easy to understand how difficult it is. Is it just an idea or something that was created over time? You can see it if you reach the level of a player who is fighting at the world competition. I do things that do not belong to any genre, so it may be a play style that faces quite a barrier.
Kazan: As the evaluation criteria at the competition, the difficulty level of the technique is firstly emphasized, and I think it is a novelty based on that.
-The person'sDo some people do original techniques that are synonymous?
Kazan: There are techniques that have become synonymous with that person so that other people will say that it is useless. On the other hand, some of the techniques developed by everyone are used by everyone, so it is difficult to draw a line there. It's an implicit understanding. For example, some people try to refer to the strange ibuki style, but it's subtle for the viewer.
ibuki: I'm not saying that it's useless.
ME: If the battle opponent is clearly playing his/her style, it is called BITE and it gives a bad impression as a rating.
Kazan: On the other hand, when it comes to the relationship between these three people, I sometimes dare to put in the technique and style of the other person in a playful manner during the battle.
ibuki: After doing all my performance, I try to put in the opponent's technique in the last 3 seconds, and I do a guts pose when it is possible (laugh) On the other hand, if it fails, it seems to end with a bitter smile.
