Yoshimura: Currently, most purchasers of Mizuno's walking shoes occupy over 60's. I asked the following question in the internet survey on our walking and got a hint of development from the answer.
Question 1: Have you been walking for over 20 minutes in the past year?
アンケートの結果、ウォーキングを行う方は75%にも達しました。インターネットの利用者の特性を考えると、3、40代の方からの回答が多くなっています。着替えてウォーキングをする人だけでなく、会社帰りやお買い物をしながらウォーキングする人たちなど様々なケースがあることが分かりました。
Question 2: What kind of shoes are you wearing while walking?
9割の方がウォーキングシューズ以外のものを履いているということが分かりました。シューズに関しては、デザインと軽さが重要視されていますね。また、ラン二ングシューズでウォーキングをされる方が非常に多くなっています。
- On the features of Tx Walk
Yoshimura: Mizuno's shoes are equipped with a corrugated "Mizuno Wave" plate on the shoe sole according to the events and uses. In planning Tx Walk this time, we developed a new Mizuno wave that is friendly to knees and waist according to the movement of walking. This increases flexibility and resilience, it can carry legs with less stress, you can walk very comfortably.
I am designing that weight transfer can be carried out smoothly from the heel toward the toe.
① The portion of the heel shows stability so as to reduce cushioning but reduce blurring when landing
② Midfoot part is the design of the sole · Mizuno wave which can convey the landing force as it is, smooth weight transfer
③ The forefoot part makes it possible to use the fingertip firmly and to respond to the movement of the front and rear and left and right,Mizuno wave extending to the bottom of the toe, enhances rebound and supports kicking out.
From the mouth to the instep, we adopted a material that increased the elasticity, softened the foot contact. In addition, we adopted the "inner sole structure" integrating shoes body and beloved part, pursuing a sense of unity like wearing socks.
Targets are mainly people from 30 to 50 generations.

Yoshimura: In the conventional model, there was also a voice that the rubber was arranged throughout the sole and it was durable but it was hard and heavy. This time, we are installing rubber which is lightweight and bendability pursued, when we walk, it is easy to wear rubbers, and other parts are more durable EVA which we developed newly.

Yoshimura：デザインがかなりカジュアルになり、アッパー部分には敢えて大きなロゴは入れずに、さりげない外観に仕上げています。
- Future Prospects
Yoshimura: It came on sale in February, but it is also popular with customers with no design in Mizuno.
