Former Brazil national team Franca also yells that "timing and positioning" is important for the forward! Taro Hasegawa holds "King of Striker 2nd Tournament"

The second tournament of "King of Striker", an event sponsored by former J.League Taro Hasegawa, was held in Tokyo. The tournament was held in the unfortunate weather of this tournament, which was held under its own rules with an emphasis on solving the "lack of deciding power" that has been a long-standing issue of the Japanese soccer world and training strikers. Mr. Hasegawa and Mr. Franca (former Brazil national team), who is a guest of the tournament, will introduce their thoughts on the goal and a message for the children who will carry the future soccer world.

The second tournament of "King of Striker", an event sponsored by former J.League Taro Hasegawa, was held in Tokyo.

This tournament focuses on solving the "lack of deciding power" that has been a long-standing issue of the Japanese soccer world and training strikers. It is packed with know-how based on the experience of Mr. Hasegawa, who once won the top scorer in Japan in J2.

The match is played in a 3v3 match format using futsal court (4 players or more per team), and there is no goalkeeper. And, original rules such as a goal with the front blocked are adopted.

Continuing from the previous tournament, Franca appeared as a guest. It was impressive to see the enthusiastic children answering questions such as "How can I get more goals?"

In difficult conditions where it rained completely, Pegasus won the championship by controlling the close battle that was entangled in the penalty shootout.

The "King of" to train strikers・ Please tell us your impressions of the "Striker" and the tournament.

Franca:The effort to "train strikers" is very wonderful. I think that bargaining with goalkeepers is important as the next step, so I think it will be even better if there are elements that assume the actual soccer environment.

Brazil has an environment where you can play soccer anywhere. There are many parks in Japan, but there are goals and there are very few environments where you can practice soccer properly. I personally feel that this is an issue facing Japan as a whole.

Please tell us your frank impression of seeing the children's play. How do you work on your daily practice to help them succeed as professional players in the future?

Franca:In this tournament in the rain, I felt that it was difficult to control the ball because the condition was such that the ball's foot tended to be faster. To be a good player, you have to be able to play in various pitch conditions. It was good to see everyone playing in different pitch conditions along with the first tournament, which was sunny.

Among those who participated this time, there were players who were likely to be good players in the future and players who had scoring ability. It's still growing, and I think it's a good idea to thoroughly improve the basic parts such as stopping and kicking in addition to muscle and run training.

When I was a kid, I watched Romario (former Brazil national team) play and practiced repeatedly, referring to his movements and shots.

Now that I have many opportunities to watch the play on Youtube and Instagram, I can learn great play. Please refer to it.

Hasegawa:
There were many players who shot at the goal side and were aware of the goal even before receiving the ball. I feel that if I can be more aware of spilled balls, I will have more goals.

When attacking, it is important to always calculate back from the goal and play. It is a good idea to aim firmly and accumulate experience to challenge the goal.

When I was in elementary school, I practiced a lot of lifting, dribbling, and shooting. Thanks to that, the impact (meet power), agility, and ball touch on the ball have improved significantly, and the awareness of the goal has also increased. It would be great if you could wear your own weapon while experiencing many failures and successes.

"Kingofstriker"The reason for the establishment wasShortly after Mr. Hasegawa retired, soccerWitnessing the defeat of the Japanese national teamIt seems that there is something that has been done.We asked guest Franca about his impressions of Japanese players.

.
Please tell us your impressions of Japanese players' play and deciding power that Franca felt when he was active.

Franca:At that time, Japanese players were good at hard work, but I had the impression that many players were not good at finishing.

For example, when practicing a cross, even if you should have decided 7 to 8 times out of 10 times, you could only decide 3 to 4 times. I feel that it also affected the game.

But lately, I think it's improved from when I was playing active. It is remarkable when watching the play of the Japanese national team.

The Tokyo Olympics will be held this year. It's also a chance to see the play of many famous soccer players live, but what kind of play should I refer to?

Hasegawa:When I was a kid, I longed for and imitated various players, including Kazuyoshi Miura and Tsubasa Oozora, Tsubasa Oozora, and I've been imitating them (laughs).

I hope that you will be able to imitate the play that was purely exciting to watch and the behavior of the players who thought they were "cool".

Franca:The most important thing is to get to know yourself well. I think it is important to know what kind of player you want to be and to imitate the play of a reference player. What is important as a striker is "being in the right position at the right time".

I have rarely been offside in my career. That's because I was always conscious of the start of movement by carefully watching the movements of the defender and passer.

If you are aiming for a striker, I think it is good to practice many times by watching the movements and positioning to score the goal of the star player.

The third tournament will be held after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (according to Mr. Hasegawa). I would also like to expect the growth of children who have come into contact with the world's top level play.
