--- Mr. RIRIKA, you are definitely stepping up. Did you look back on your dance life and have a turning point?
RIRIKA:In 2017, LA (Los Angeles), the home of danceI'm glad I studied abroad in Japan. There were many dance studios in LA, dancers from all over the world gathered, and there were many Japanese.
The teaching method is completely different depending on the teacher, and your favorite teacher isHe has a free idea of dancing in NY (New York) and LA, and his teacher said, "Let's do not only pop but also jazz and house. Anyway, let's do what we like." I think I can now pursue my favorite dance.
I was able to learn English because there were only foreigners in the house I lived in LA. Also, I was able to solve my usual worries by talking with Japanese friends I met at the dance school, and their existence was great.
--You have had a valuable experience in LA, and you are making good progress.
RIRIKA:Actually, that wasn't the case, and I was quite worried in 2019. I wanted to go to America, but I couldn't, and I tried various things, but in the end I didn't know what I wanted to do. Last year may have been the hardest part of my life.
--- In such a situation, in DecemberNIKEDid you appear in the event?
RIRIKA:But,Participating in a NIKE event changed my mind to "Pan!" And gave me the experience of being abroad. Various things have been blown away, and I would like to connect it to my future dance life.
-That was really good! And at the end of the year, you achieved the feat of acting as a back dancer for Arashi in the Kouhaku Uta Gassen. Dance happily on TVRIRIKAMr.Seeing it made my heart hot.
RIRIKA:thank you. This red and white was filled with gratitude and joy when I thought that Arashi's choreographer would finish 2019 with Arashi. I often worked with dancers and choreographers other than me at other jobs and events, and I was really happy to be able to dance with the people I admire.
--What did you feel when you stood on the red and white stage?
RIRIKA:This red and white was your second appearance, wasn't it? I still remember that I participated for the first time when I was 9 years old and danced Choo Choo Train with EXILE.
It was red and white for the first time in 14 years since then, and I was happy because my family, grandpa and grandma, and the teachers who took care of me when I was a student were pleased.
At Kouhaku, I danced with gratitude to everyone who supported me around me. The moment the song was over, I got so many contacts that my cell phone didn't stop ringing, and I was able to pass the year in a blink of an eye. We were able to reach the very best new year, so in 2020, we felt more relaxed, saying, "Let's do our best."
--- You had a wonderful New Year holidays, didn't you? Finally, the futureWhat are your goals?
RIRIKA:A foreigner who came to see the NIKE show in December told me that I should go to LA, so I definitely want to make that happen. Until the summer when Tokyo 2020 is held, I think it will be a domestic activity.
Eventually I would like to be a back dancer in LA and be a member of domestic and world tours. And in the future, I would like to hold a large-scale dance audition in Japan to provide children with a place where they can dance a lot. (End)
