Mr. Junji Katagiri gained the scorer in the 2001 National High School Football Championship competition that he participated in the Gifu Industrial High School era and contributed to the second run of the team.
2002年に名古屋グランパスに入団し、プロとしてのキャリアをスタート。
After that, after transferring rental, I belonged to teams such as FC Gifu, Van Furet Kofu, MIO Biwako Shiga and retired in 2013.

I joined Van Foret Kofu in 2011 after my high school graduation. In 2012, after joining Gilavants Kitakyushu and Fukuoka University, he joined Tokyo 23FC in 2016. I retired in 2017.

――現在は何をされていますか？
片桐:In the local Gifu prefecture, I am working at a school to improve children's soccer level.
加部:I work at a publisher involved in soccer related magazines.
――引退した年齢と、決意したきっかけを教えてください。
片桐:31歳でした。引退を決めた一番の理由は「サッカー選手で生計成り立つかな？」ということでしたね。
Since football players have a very short time to be professional athletes, it has become a trend to "retire if they can not make money in the future".
加部:24歳でした。最後は社会人リーグでプレーしていました。上のレベルでプレーしてみたい気持ちをずっと持っていましたが、実現出来なかったので引退を決めました。
- Mr. Katagiri did not have any incompatibility in active life?
片桐:スポーツ選手って「現役の辞め方」が本当に大事なんですよ。 今回のイベントを主催した（長谷川）太郎さんのように、引退試合をきっかけに現役生活を忘れることができる。
でも、完全燃焼しないで選手を引退してしまうと「辞めたけど、身体は動くし、サッカーできるんじゃない？」ってモヤモヤしながら過ごす「空白の期間」が出てきてしまうんです。「このままじゃダメだな」と感じたこともありました。
――現在の仕事を選ばれた経緯や想い、これから達成していきたい目標などはありますか？
片桐:The soccer level of the children in the big city is expensive, but I feel that it is still developing in rural areas.
サッカーの技術を基礎から教えて底辺を拡大すれば、「サッカーが上手くなりたい」と思う人も増えるんじゃないかなと思って仕事に取り組んでいます。
The feeling that I want to be involved in football has always been Yamayama, but retirement is another opportunity for emotions and willingness to come out unexpectedly touched by a different world.
サッカーだけにこだわって次の道を探すのは良くないと思っていますが、引退後も「サッカー人」であることに変わりはないので、サッカーがまったくない生活は息苦しいですね。
――セカンドキャリアを歩まれているなかで、現役への未練が再燃してくることはありましたか？
片桐:I quit soccer players and worked on various jobs before I started my current work.
Because it is a rookie, there are scenes where experiences are pointed out by the longest people, and at such times it was sometimes I felt that "I wish it was soccer ...". But since I have work every day, I was able to switch well if I finished the day.
As players were playing games every week, there was a fear of mistake and loss of position, and it took time to switch feelings. I hope your job will be successful the next day. I think that the point where feelings can be switched is good.
――加部さんは、現在の出版社でのお仕事をどのような経緯で選ばれたんですか？セカンドキャリアで達成していきたい目標などはありますか？
加部:Although it was good that I could get away from football, I think that the point is good because I am able to give back to the football I had raised so far.
サッカー選手としては上手くいかない部分もあった。現役選手として「その時にすべきことができなかった」と切り替えて、後悔がないように今の仕事を頑張っていきたいです。

片桐:I think that there are players who are said to be "genius" in the football field, but no one does not strive for "genius" who is a professional athlete.
