Comfortable summer exercise! The new standard in Pilates wear: Why Uniqlo leggings are so great

Now in my 30s, I, Editor R, have once again become captivated by the excellent stitching and tailoring of Uniqlo, and above all, the comfort of their clothes. Lately, I've been wearing everything from work clothes to loungewear exclusively from Uniqlo. I started Pilates last winter, so around May, as the seasons changed and the heat really started to pick up, I started running into the problem of switching clothes. Of course, I've bought and tried out clothes from popular Pilates brands, but because they're consumable items, I wanted to prioritize the balance between price and performance, and then I finally found the leggings that were my destiny. なんでも三日坊主で続かないタイプの私だが、韓国アイドルに感化され、昨年の冬からピラティスを始めた。特に服装の規定はないのだが、ピラティスは関節や筋肉を意識しながらの動きが多く、身体のラインがインストラクターに見えることでより的確なアドバイスを受けることができる。そのため、身体のラインに適度にフィットするウェアは大切。

これまで使っていた有名ブランドのピラティスウェアも悪くはなかったのだが、特に暑い夏に向けて快適に運動できる、もう少し手頃な価格で機能性に優れたものがないかと探していた。

動きやすさと快適さを両立！店頭で一目惚れしたレギンス

そんな中、ユニクロの店頭で見つけたのが今回紹介する「ウルトラストレッチエアリズムUVカットレギンス」だ。このレギンスに一目惚れした理由は、その価格と機能性にある。

まず、UPF50＋のUVカット機能が備わっている点。夏の強い日差しから肌を守ることができるのは、大きなポイントだ。また肌に触れたときにひんやりと感じる接触冷感付きで、暑い夏でも快適に過ごせる。これはウェアを着て、そのままクラスに行く私にとっては非常に重要なポイントである。冬場はウェアの上からスウェットやコートを着込めるが、夏場はそうはいかない。少しでも涼しく過ごせるウェアが必要不可欠だ。

そしてインナーが響きにくい絶妙な生地の厚さ。薄すぎず厚すぎず、ちょうどいい厚さで、動きやすさと快適さを両立してくれる。
