--What are your current challenges?
Keisuke Ushiro: I have been training as a samurai under Mr. Harry Mara of the United States, who coached the world champion since December last year, in order to find what I lack. Until now, I was wandering in the fog and looking for light, but it became clear what I should do and what I was aiming for, and it felt like the door had opened. I will do my best to achieve results.

-I'm also curious about how to raise motivation.
Keisuke Ushiro: The most important thing is to have a clear goal. I think it's easy to understand if you compare it to "mountain climbing". Place the goal you want to achieve at the top and make checkpoints at several points on the way to the top to achieve it. Write down what you need to do for each and try to clear them one by one. By doing so, I didn't have to practice anymore. Understanding what you are good at and what you are not good at will change the way you spend your daily life and practice.

Next, prepare the environment. When your motivation is low, you can get motivated by gathering friends and practicing while discussing. If you feel the excitement of going to Disneyland with your loved one, you will be able to train in a fulfilling mental state even in your usual practice.

--It is said that the running population is the largest in the world. What is your position in running, Mr. Udai?

Keisuke Ushiro: I don't run very long distances, but I have 1500m in the competition and I run to improve my strength and adjust my body. I think it's good to be able to develop a sense of stability by going to the mountains and running on rough terrain.

--Please give us some advice on how to continue running.

Keisuke Ushiro: First, why not think about why it doesn't last? I also feel like "I want to run but I can't continue. I want to do it but I'm not motivated". In such a case, I think it's better not to hold it alone, but to make friends who run together.

It is recommended that you have a clear goal and prepare the environment before running.
・ Participate in the tournament.
・ Determine the distance and run.
・ Set a target weight.
・ Try changing the running course.
・ Do muscle training on days when you don't run.
・ Do not run when you are tired.
・ Make a day to eat what you like and a day to put up with it.

--Please tell us your enthusiasm for the World Championships in Athletics Doha.

Keisuke Ushiro: By saying that I have participated in 5 consecutive tournaments this time, I have experienced the world of each tournament and have become stronger, but the current situation is that I have not achieved any results on the big stage. I felt that it was a sense of crisis, but it became clear what I needed and what I should strengthen. I would like to see the results of this tournament and lead to winning medals at the Tokyo Olympics.

--- It's been less than a year until next year's Tokyo Olympics.

Keisuke Ushiro: I think the Tokyo Olympics are the final position as a player. Last time in Rio, I was disappointed that I was injured and did not get the results I expected. Next year, I will be participating in the third Olympic Games, so I will do my best to get results. (End)
