The Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2019 season opening round will be qualifying on Friday, February 8th, and the final will be held on Saturday, February 9th at UAE Abu Dhabi. Red Bull Air Race held its first competition in 2003. It started as a world championship in 2005, and this year marks the 12th season.

Yoshihide Muroya, the only Asian master class pilot who has participated in the race since 2009 and is entering the eighth season, will participate in the race again this year aiming for the title of world champion again.

This year, some rules have been changed, and the points in the qualifying have been improved and revived. In addition, the points that can be earned in the final have increased. See below for details.

A total of eight races are scheduled for this season as well, and the dates and venues for the six races, including the Chiba tournament on September 7th (Sat) and 8th (Sun), have been decided.
