We interviewed Yuta Murata, who was attending HEROs AWARD 2018 as an ambassador, about how he became an ambassador and what gear he was particular about in boxing.

-First of all, please tell us how you became a HEROs ambassador.
Murata There are child welfare facilities that I visit on a personal basis, although I do occasionally. While being involved in such activities, I received a talk from the Nippon Foundation. I've been visiting the same facility all the time, but it's quiet.
――What is it going by all means?
Murata I don't want it to be my promotional activity and I don't want to be. However, if the circle spreads, it is complicated as a feeling, although I think that I can say what I am doing to some extent.
――I hope that the juniors will be affected and do the same activities to expand the circle.
Murata I agree. Every time I go to see my children, they seem to give something and they really give it. I have a lot to learn.
I like the psychologist named Victor Frankl and remember this when I went to a welfare facility. The phrase is “human beings are not vulnerable enough to yield to the environment”.
The idea is that it is important to always say yes to life in any difficult situation.
Isn't it the adversity that children in welfare facilities are abandoned by their parents? One girl told me that she was working for a cosmetics company and came to help me when I visited.
When I talked, "I am a graduate student here. When I was small, my parents died of suicide and I entered the facility here. I am grateful for the fate. That's just early in my case, and that's why I entered this institution and learned a lot and now have friends, so I'm grateful to God. "
I was told that I did not succumb to life and did not succumb to adversity, and I felt that I had to follow myself. I often get power in that way.
As a result, my actions may be charitable, but I really have power.
――Mr. Murata's father has been working in the facility for a long time, right?
Murata That's right. There may be the influence of my father at the root.

-Next, let me tell you about the gear. I think that you often run on road work, so please tell us about your running shoes.
Murata I run concrete in Tokyo, so I'm worried about damage to my feet. Boxing is a sport with weight loss, so I run quite a long distance. I wear shoes that suit me with little damage to my feet.
--Do you have any particular attention to gloves or mouthpieces?
Murata I say it's easy to do, but I choose something that feels good, but I don't think I have to do this much.
I don't think that I'm worried that I won't be able to play when the conditions are met.
It is important to be able to do it under any conditions. If the opponent changes to "Change to this glove", I think that I must win even if I fight in the opponent's ring, so I do not care about it. I think it can be a negative factor.
--I see. It means that if you pass there, you can't. The story changes, but what year was 2018?
MurataI lost but it was a good year. At the time of the game against Endam (Assan Endham), it was a game that seemed to have been defeated but did not lose.
I think I have to win after this to affirm this loss. If the future results are good, I will be able to affirm the past, and I feel that I have to feed.
