Maeda Riichi, talking greatly about Copa Mundial Vol.2 "I want something good for long use"
Adidas' masterpiece 'Copa Mundial'. It is a long seller of 34 years since its release, it is a dish that brings out the smell of good old spike. "Coppamun loveer" who became a rare species with active J-Leaguer is Raeichi Maeda of FC Tokyo. In the second interview, Mr. Maeda is approaching the point of choosing things such as the career of a car of his choice.

――子供時代、初めて履いたスパイクを覚えていますか？
Maeda：I think that it was a spike of about 3,000 yen of Adidas that I first bought. It is in a sports shop basket, it seems to be sold at a bargain. I went to buy with my parents, so I decided to do this because it is cheap. It was when I was in the third grade of elementary school.
――その後、サッカーで有名な暁星中学に進みますが、そのときに履いていたスパイクは？
Maeda：My seniors are wearing Puma's Parameco, there is such a spike! And adore. Leather is so soft that when I hear the price it is 16,000 yen. Because it was expensive, I could not quite get it to my parents, but somehow I asked for it and bought it. After that, I changed the sole and wore it all the time.
――ソールを交換して履き続けるとは、珍しいですね。ポイントが削れていってしまうんですか？
Maeda：That's right. Since I often played at the ground of the soil during junior high school, I asked the sports shop that everyone in the football club had done frequently, had my sole replaced by 3,4 thousand yen.
――中学時代はすぐに足が大きくなるので、ご両親に「新しいのを買って欲しい」と、言いづらくはなかったですか？
Maeda：ソールを交換してまで、大事に履いていたので、サイズが合わなくなってきたら嫌な顔をせずに買ってくれていたと思います。試合の後は、毎回自分で磨いていましたし。
――どのようにして磨いていたのですか？
Maeda：まずは汚れを落として乾かしてから、靴墨を塗って、時間が経ってから磨いていました。パラメヒコは良い革を使っているので、自然と自分で磨くようになったんですよね。それまで、人工皮革のスパイクを履いたときはやらなかったのですが（笑）
――コパ・ムンディアルとパラメヒコはメーカーの違いこそあれ、上位モデルとして似たような位置づけです。両方とも古き良きスパイクという趣があって、クラシックなスタイルです。前田選手はスパイク以外のもの、例えば車や時計などを選ぶときは、どういう視点で選んでいますか？
Maeda：In the case of a car, once you buy it is a type to ride long. Not so often, I will not replace it. The car I bought for the first time rode about 100,000 kilometers, and now the car is over 50,000 kilos. If so, maybe things are good. I do not think that I would like to replace it immediately because I used something I thought would be this, or just because a new one came out. That is why I want a good one that can be used for a long time.
――車や時計って、選ぶ人のキャラクターが出ますよね。ちなみに愛車は何色ですか？
Maeda：It is black. If so, maybe I like black. Copa Mundial is also black. Both the cars on board and the cars in front are black (lol)
