Prior to the release of the movie "Repulsion of Pigeons", Seibu fan actor Tatsuya Fujiwara will open the ball at the longed-for Met Life Dome! "I should have aimed to be a baseball player," he said.

Actor Tatsuya Fujiwara, who plays the leading role in the movie "Repulsion of Pigeons" (released on 27th), pitched at the opening ceremony of the Saitama Seibu Lions vs. Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles match held at Met Life Dome on August 13. Tatsuya Fujiwara, who is from Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, is a professor of Seibu fans. At the press conference after the opening ceremony at the ballpark he admired, he talked about his memories of his childhood and his passion for Lions.

--First of all, please tell us your impression of pitching.

Fujiwara:"Throwing the ball" or "delivering" is not a problem at all ... It was a lot of fun to stand on the mound of the Met Life Dome. It doesn't matter what the movie is about ... (smile)Personally, I felt like I was visiting the stadium.

Fujiwara:
Before I entered, the players exchanged greetings, but it was like watching TV at home.

Everyone warmly welcomed me and thought, "It's Seibu Lions." I thought again, "I'm glad I've been a fan for many years."

The moment I entered (at the stadium), Director Tsuji was there and exchanged words with me, so I was surprised ...

"I've been a fan since I was little, and I've been supporting him since I was active," and Director Tsuji also said, "I'm supporting him too." I feel like "I want to have this memory and go home early" (laughs).

(Director Tsuji) was really cool. After all, I should have aimed to be a baseball player. I thought I wasn't an actor (laughs).

.
Mr. Fujiwara threw a ball on a higher course, right?

Fujiwara:That's right. I'm glad I managed to reach the home base.
For me, "whether it arrives or not" doesn't really matter. I was so happy. I was able to stand in the place I had longed to go to since I was little, and it was an opportunity for me to recommend my own movie, and now I feel refreshed.

.How did Mr. Fujiwara become a Lions fan?

Fujiwara:At first, it's the influence of the family. In fact, my dad used to go around a local golf course with a player.

From a young age, while watching my father, I started to take a train with my friends to the Met Life Dome (then Seibu Stadium).

I have been supporting since the "golden age" when director Hatsuhiko Tsuji, Koji Akiyama, Kazuhiro Kiyohara, Ken Hirano, Orestes Destrade, etc. were active.

--Are there any players in your current team that you support?

Fujiwara:
I support all the players, but I especially like Takeya Nakamura, who is known as "Okawari-kun," and I support him through TV and other media.
