In early July when the heavy rain in Kyushu northern area was reported in a daily news, a representative from the football apparel brand "amorPraia" got a message from them and taught the damage situation in the northern part of Kyushu.
Shyly, at this time, I was not very concerned about this natural disaster so I did not even know what kind of damage situation it was.
While I was talking about whether I could do something about the public's interest low on the phone at that time, there was a proposal to make charity T-shirts and donate sales.
Because I was playing for 2 years with the team called Vasaji Oita, there was attachment in Kyushu and Oita was a place I could say as my second hometown, so I agreed with that plan.
But at the same time, I felt something was wrong. I did not understand the damage situation, I did not know the hardships of people in the disaster area, I felt a little uncomfortable about sending only money, without confirming anything with my own eyes.
On the blog, I asked readers to participate in volunteer activities, but what kind of thought did you mention on blog?
Originally, I thought that it would be best to convey to the local situation by as many people as possible by sending out on my blog.
How was it going to go?
I also went to volunteer in Asakura city, Fukuoka prefecture because of the convenience of time, but the spectacle on the way from the Asakura interchange on the expressway to the locality is that it is not so bad It was an impression that it was.
However, just walking a little from the place where we accepted volunteers, the circumstances changed completely. Due to the flooding of the river, the surrounding houses were collapsing or being covered with mud and was in such a terrible situation that I could not live.
