Yoshikazu Miyamoto, the ultimate samurai who has built a history of 40 years with Mizuno, Part 1
Mizuno Corporation (President: Akito Mizuno) regularly holds an ordering meeting to make original and running shoes at Esport Mizuno (Mizuno Tokyo). At that venue, for over 40 years, I tried to talk to Mr. Yoshikazu Miyamoto, a craftsman who is pointing Mizuno's shoes.

――まずは、ミズノに入社されたキッカケから 教えていただけますか。
Miyamoto：キッカケですか。そうですね、高校を卒業してある会社に勤めていましたが、ミズノの和歌山にある靴の工場で求人しているのを知り、「楽しそうだな。」と思い軽い気持ちで入りましたね。入社してから、もう40It will be about a year.
――40年もですか。歴史を感じます。宮本さんは、陸上をされていたのですか。
Miyamoto: I was doing long distances on land, but it was not a special fast player.
――ミズノでは、主にマラソンシューズを作ってこられたのですか。
Miyamoto：勤め始めた頃は、国内生産でやっていまして、一般のモノやバレーボールシューズなどを中心に作っていましたね。ランバード工場(兵庫県・山﨑)I made marathon shoes, shoes made with shields, land spikes, baseball contract players' spikes, and so on.
――そうなのですね。40年前からオリジナルシューズを作成されていたのですか。
Miyamoto：いや、その頃は、工場のラインで作っていましたね。オリジナルシューズを作り始めたのが、2005It will be around the year. I was also making it at the conference venue of the running series sponsored by Mizuno, but I am dealing with it only at a directly managed store.
――普段は、兵庫の工場にいらっしゃるのですね。
Miyamoto:I agree.
- Could you tell me the points that will be a point in creating shoes?
Miyamoto：ポイントですか・・・。色々ですけどね(Lol). When you visit our store, we will ride on the foot printer of the foot type instruments and measure the length, width and height of the feet. Understanding the characteristics of the feet, it is the length of the thumb and the hallux valgus, based on the basic last there as a base, adjusting it while adding hands will be the flow of matching.
- If you are a Japanese, what width is the most width?
Miyamoto: In terms of width, the average width is 2EIt will be. Since women are a little narrow, 1E. Even if you do not place an order, even commercially available items will suffice enough, but after all, many people say "I want my own shoes that I can only wear."
女性ですと市販にはない、ピンクや黄色、オレンジなど蛍光色を選ぶ方が沢山いますよ。レース専用で派手な色の「勝負シューズ」ということで履かれていますね(Lol)。
- Are you a match shoe? (Laugh). It is a wonderful naming. How long will it take to measure from foot measure to completion?
Miyamoto：2It will be months.
- When you make things that match your feet, it takes two months time.
