Ms. Noriyuki Matsuura who has been active for 25 years in Tokyo Verdy and Nagoya Grampus as the first Japanese professional player. I asked about 8 hours about the enthusiasm for things and the attention of players remaining in the impression. ――成功する選手としない選手の差は何だと思いますか？松浦さんはいろんな選手と接してきているので聞いてみたいです。
Matsuura：これは子供達にも機会があったら伝えているんですけども、物を大切にする選手は成功しています。代表にも入っていますし、やはりスパイクって自分の体の一部になる大事なアイテムなので、そういう物を大切にするっていうのは自分の体も大切にしてるし、サッカーができる環境とかも大切にするので。
――物を大切にすることは全部に繋がっているんですね。
Matsuura：そうですね、物を大切にする選手は成功します。
- Such players will treasure people as well, do not they?
Matsuura：そうですね、あと感謝の気持ちっていうのは絶対に持っているので、それは物に対してもサッカーを提供してくれる場所とか環境とかそういうことに対しても、感謝の気持ちを持っている選手が成功していますね。

「落ち着いて聞いて。監督は奮起して欲しいから言ったんだよ！」って言うと「いや、でも帰れと言われたから僕帰ります！」と。
「それじゃダメだから試合が終わるまでいよう」って言いましたが、時代は変わったんだなってその時に思いましたね。
「監督に言われたから、監督の指示通りに動いているだけで何が悪いんですか！」みたいな風に選手から言われましてね（笑）
――物に対するこだわりってどうですか？
Matsuura：どの年代にもこだわりがある選手ももちろんいます。「これじゃなきゃダメだ！」という選手が少なくなってきたと同時に企業努力というか時代の流れもあり、スパイクもどんどん良いものが出てきてるので、そこまでこだわらなくても意外と履けちゃうっていうのもあるんですよね。
――なんか嬉しいような寂しいような気もしますね。物を大事にする話が先ほどありましたが、実際にスパイクを磨く時に子供達は磨く道具を揃えてないじゃないですか。雑巾で拭いたらいいよとか身近にあるような物で代用できる物ってありますかね？
Matsuura：Yes, we have it! You can also use rags well. I made this with Maintenance Kid in cooperation with Mizuno and me, but if I had this, I could do it all!

Matsuura：はい。順番通り使っていくとプロと同じようなケアが毎日お手軽に出来ますよっていうものです。
――磨き方のアドバイスとかって何かありますか？言葉で伝えるのは難しいと思いますが。

「家帰ったら何するー？」って聞くと「うがい、手洗い、宿題とか」色々あるんですけど「着てたウエアどうする？」って聞くと「洗濯！」、「では体は？」と聞くと「お風呂入って綺麗になる！」と。
「じゃあスパイクは？」って聞くと「あっ！」みたいな。
――なるほど、スパイクだけケアを忘れるんですね。
Matsuura：スパイクだけ忘れるんですよ。ウエアは洗濯して綺麗になります、汚れた体はシャワーで綺麗になります、一緒にプレーした靴はどうするの？って言ったら、「じゃあ磨こうか」ってそこから入るんですよ。
――スパイクも汗をかいているということですね！
Matsuura：そうなんですよ。
――そして乾かす。
Matsuura: Yes, once you wear it you will never get dirty, so I will take care even if you wear it for 5 minutes, for example. I say it's good because it's 5 minutes, but because I get stained if I wear it once.
必ず使ったらまず汚れは取ります。次に絶対に濡れるので乾燥させます。最後にクリームなどで栄養を与えて休ませますっていう工程をするんですよね。

そのままだと突っ張っちゃたりするじゃないですか？それを化粧水とか乳液で整えますよね？それと同じ様に汚れを取って乾かして、しっかり栄養を与えるっていうのを靴にも行います。

Matsuura：このキットにはしっかりタオルも入っているので雑巾でも良いですし、ハンドタオルでも良いので、まずは汚れを取ることが大事です。お店にあるお絞りとかでも良いので。
いきなりクリーナーからされちゃう方もいるんですけど、クリーナーは確かに汚れも落ちるんですけど、革に与えといた栄養分も一緒に取ってしまうんですよ。
クリーナーで拭いて終わりだと洗顔したままなんです。結局突っ張ったりカサカサになったりしますよね。それだと靴にも良くないので。

クリーナーでしか取れない汚れもあるので、さっきの菊池さんのスパイクのように人工芝が裏についてますよね？あれは濡れ雑巾で落とせるのもありますし、落ちないのはクリーナーでやらないと落ちないんです。
